- In any hand with a Jack, unless of course the hand is already a winner! – 4 to an open-ended Straight, 4 into a Flush or 3 with a Straight Flush or Royal Flush – reject all cards only keeping the Jack
- In any hand holding only one card Jack or above, keep the single good card and reject all other cards and redraw.

- In any hand having 3-of-a-kind retain the three-of-a-kind and reject the other two cards.
- In any hand with four into a Straight, keep all 4 Straight cards and re-draw – unless of course the Straight draw is not open-ended and the hand is having a Jack)
- In any hand holding 4 with a Flush, maintain the 4 Flush – unless of course the hand holds three to the Royal in which case you would draw to the Royal Flush
- In any hand having four-of-a-kind, hold anything since a 1-card draw won’t enhance the cards.
- In any hand with three to some Royal Flush, reject every thing else and go for that Royal – unless the hand is already a Sraight Flush!
